Not so boring - Low-Carb life.

I was always afraid of starting a low-carb lifetsyle because of my addiction to sweets. Nothing like a good sandwich, a warm pastry and the occasional bowl of cereal with a pound of sugar stuck to the bottom of the bowl.

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my last two pregnanacies. It was never a problem to change my habits while being pregnant. I had children to look after and I did it! Small, healthy babies! I even lost weight during both pregnancies.

I have never struggled with my weight - until about 10 years ago anyway. I married the man of my dreams over 12 years ago, got comfortable and fell apart. I became depressed and inactive. TV became my best friend. I didn't believe in watching tv without a snack. SO, as the years went by, I packed on the weight. Here I am, the heaviest that I have even been in my life. Don't say it can't happen to you - it can. I never dreamed that I'd be fat!

At 44 years old, feeling like I'm 70, begging God to change my heart - my mind has changed. Here I go . . . .

I want to share with you what is happening with me during this low-carb journey. I am not on a diet or a weight loss regimen - but a lifestyle change. This time, I am doing it for me.

I will share shopping tips. recipe shortcuts, my recipes and recipes from friends and maybe an occassional joke. I will offer encouragement and inspiration.

God bless you, God bless me, God bless us all as we begin - again!
